Project 04

This 6000 SQFT Centre is designed for the use of the Mi'kmaq community. This project was inspired by the blue whale, considering both the Mi'kmaq and whales are declining in numbers and have lost their habitats and land. The design direction for the Mi’kmaq community Centre is to reflect the essence of feeling spiritual, harmonious, encouraged, pure, and continuous. With this, the goal of the space is to create a calming environment that feels like a home, with character that reflects a work of art. Spaces such as a talking circle, youth Centre, and a library are incorporated to educate the youth on the Mi'kmaq culture.
